CovidApp was created in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic to give people reliable, up-to-date information and self-assessment tools during a period of great uncertainty.
The project has since been archived, but it remains an example of how the group mobilises engineering capacity quickly when it matters.

Strengthening research, technological development and innovation.
The CovidApp project was co-financed by the European Union through the ERDF, under Norte 2020, the Regional Operational Programme of the North (Portugal 2020). Beneficiary: Sales & Novais, Lda; intervention region: Porto; project running from 13-03-2020 to 31-07-2020.
The support funded the development of a digital platform based on artificial intelligence for symptom management and triage support, as well as the study of the disease's evolution, pattern detection and the creation of statistical models on Covid-19.
